THE TOWN OF
PROSPER ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR
MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
Although the maintenance and operations portion of the tax rate adopted for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 REMAINED UNCHANGED FROM LAST YEAR AT $0.184549 per one hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed value of all taxable property, the Town will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations in Fiscal Year 2006-2007 than Fiscal Year 2005-2006 because the Town’s TOTAL taxable assessed values increased from Fiscal Year 2005-2006 to Fiscal Year 2006-2007.
