The Prosper Police Department is a progressive, rapidly growing police department serving one of the fastest growing Towns in the north Texas metropolitan area. Currently serving a population of approximately 7000 citizens, which is rapidly increasing; and an area of over 40 square miles, the Prosper Police Department is becoming highly regarded in it’s commitment to the professional development of employees, competitive salaries and benefits, and excellent equipment.

The Prosper Police Department emphasizes professionalism, integrity, and a sense of community in providing a full complement of law enforcement services to our growing town, as well as innovative approaches to community issues.

Among initiatives of the Police Department are solving neighborhood problems through the Neighborhood Watch Programs and McGruff Safe House Programs; promoting a positive law enforcement image within the Community and Schools; and striving to reduce traffic accidents and criminal activity with proactive measures.
